Narrated by Gabriel Byrne, ‘John Ford – Dreaming of the Quiet Man’ recounts stories from the people who still remember how Hollywood came to the West of Ireland.

Featuring heartfelt discussions with star Maureen O’Hara and fellow directors Martin Scorsese, Peter Bogdanovich and Jim Sheridan, as well as original home-movie footage of the cast and crew’s time in Ashford Castle during filming, this documentary shot in Ireland and the US, reveals John Ford’s twenty-year quest to realise his most personal film.
